Grammy Awards units sight on Las Vegas for first time

LOS ANGELES — The Grammys may be missing stars like Drake, The Weeknd and Kanye West as a performer, but the biggest musical night could shine on the Las Vegas Strip nonetheless.

The ceremony moved to Las Vegas for the very first time with a number of artists who could have epic nights out with Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Jon Batiste. The awards were moved from Los Angeles due to the rising circumstances of COVID-19 and the omicron variant in January. Sunday’s giveaway will air starting at 20 a.m. in Japanese on CBS and the Paramount+ streaming service.

Host Trevor Noah calls Las Vegas a “great place to celebrate” with followers in the MGM Grand’s backyard. Last year, the Grammys had a music competition vibe with elements of the present held outdoors in an intimate in-person setting with musical artists combined with pre-recorded performances.

”There’s a component of this (present) that feels like a music camp,” Noah said. “I feel like it’s going to carry a totally different vitality, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

However, it is unknown whether the Foo Fighters will take the stage or not following the latest death of their drummer Taylor Hawkins. The rock band-nominated for 3 Grammys-is scheduled to perform during the ceremony, but they recently canceled all upcoming live performance dates.

The Grammys will continue to maneuver with out West, called Ye, after reports surfaced earlier this month that he would not perform the present due to his “online habits”.”The Weeknd continues to boycott the awards and Drake has stated that he does not wish to compete for a Grammy, withdrawing both of his nominations.

You will probably miss the three beloved artists, but the present will certainly continue.

The multi-talented Jon Batiste enters the Grammys because the main nominee with 11 in quite a few genres with R&B, jazz, American roots music, classical and music video. Justin Bieber, Doja Cat and H. E. R. are tied for the second-most nominations with eight each.

However, Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” were songs written by the young star and her brother Finneas, who produced all her tracks. Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga and Rodrigo are sitting in the same boat.

Harvey Mason jr., CEO of the academy, said that the variety of creators in a class does not dictate the winner.

Both approaches, Noah said he didn’t think.

“It will be nice to see this second,” he said. “You get to be on stage and listen to your work. I’m excited for that. I need to see 25 people on stage celebrating and sharing the love and pleasure of one thing they have accomplished.”

Earlier than the awards, the academy will maintain a pair of occasions with a tribute to Joni Mitchell on the MusiCares person of the year on Friday night. Chaka Khan, Cyndi Lauper, Billy Porter and Beck are among those expected to carry out.
